Binance founder Changpeng Jhao, known as CZ, has been officially appointed as a strategic advisor to the newly formed Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC).
The announcement was made during the meeting of Zhao with the PCC on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and brought the major government stakeholders together, including the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Governor of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and Federal Secretary for Law and IT.
During his visit, Jhao, which is one of the most influential figures in Web 3, also held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Senator Hynest Dar, in a statement by the Finance Division.
“This is a historic moment for Pakistan,” Finmin Aurangzeb said, who is also the President of PCC.
