A Berlin subscriber care doctor has been accused of killing 15 patients in a case, prosecutors described as “lust for murder”, Mentor Informed
The 40 -year -old suspect, known in the local media as Johannes M, allegedly killed 12 women and three people between September 2021 and July 2024. Prosecutors claim that they used malignant doses of anesthetics and muscle relaxation, causing respiratory failure in minutes.
The prosecutors said, “There was no purpose to kill people other than the task of killing the accused.” The victims were from 25 to 94.
In some examples, the suspect is accused of setting fire to the victims’ houses to cover their tracks. One such attempt failed, after which he allegedly pretended to be worried about a relative when no one responded to the door.
On 8 July 2024, he is accused of killing two patients, who is a 75 -year -old man in Crassberg and a 76 -year -old woman in a nearby Nuclane.
He also called emergency services allegedly after a murder, which falsely claims to try revival. The victim later died in the hospital.
Initially, a mangelotter associated with four deaths was arrested on suspicion, the allegations now include 15 alleged murders. Prosecutors are demanding a lifetime professional ban and preventive custody.
A special investigative team has identified 395 potential suspicious cases for reviews. Of these, 95 have led the preliminary inquiry, with 12 more already planned 12 and five more plans.
The case reflects another ongoing trial in Germany, where a nurse is accused of killing nine patients by overdosing them during the night shift.
