The Audi E concept shows Audi’s new design approach to Chinese-Jazid EVS
Audi has launched a “new brand” for EVS in China-only called Audi-as part of an extended joint venture operation with partner SAIC.
The “new brand”, which is aimed at young, technical-oriented Chinese EV buyers, was manifested with the new Audi E electric estate concept.
It was planned to go into production in 2025, the first of the three new Audi models, the other one salon and the SUV is set for introduction in 2026 and 2027 in China.
The expansion of the joint operation of the owner of Audi and MG Saic is aimed at using the previous reputation for design and engineering with later speed-to-market capabilities and local expertise.
Significantly, the first Audi model was developed in only 18 months – less than half of the traditional Audi model.
Audi CEO Garnot Doller emphasized that the Audi-SAC partnership provides a foundation for “new generations of advanced, intelligent vehicles, which will be exclusive to China”.
“The combined platform allows us to address a promising segment yet a promising segment with state -of -the -art connected vehicles,” he said.
Unlike the existing Audi model, the E-brand refers to the traditional four-ring symbol, which indicates a new direction in both design and branding.
4870 mm in length, 1990 mm in width and 1460 mm in height, it is slightly longer, broad and tall than the new Audi A5 Avent combustion property, although with a long Wheelbase (2950 mm), which is claimed to provide it more and more internal space and housing.
E’s style fullboyant LED light designs with clean and large -scale uncontrolled surfaceing, to provide a more unbroken appearance than the main Audi brand than the main Audi brand.
Depending on the newly advanced digital ripe platform developed by Audi and SAIC, it has an 800V electrical architecture and a dual-motor driven that provides a combined 754bhp and 590lb feet torque. With Quatro Four-wheel drive and torque vectoring capacity, Audi has claimed 0-62Mph of 3.6 section.
A 100kwh battery also provides E with a range of over 435 miles under China under CLTC test standards.
The charging rate details have not yet appeared, but the first Audi model claims to offer a recurrence of 300 km (186-mile) in electric energy stores in 10 minutes on high-power DC charger.
Other features for the upcoming production version of the new property are four-wheeler steering and air suspension.
Inside, E has a single-free touchscreen and has a seating space for four on different seats.
Deramming the luxury position of the car, the cabin also has a combination of natural fiber and wood trims.
