“Coming from the background of a working class, I do not maintain a possible example, where people, especially future junior athletes, do not have equal development or competition opportunities due to finance. I want our governing bodies to have more transparency and honesty about the finance situation of our governing bodies and how our game is being managed for this situation.”

In a statement, the UK athletics said that ‘it is better to give athletes an opportunity to compete compared to not sending teams to send teams.’

The statement said, “The selection athletes were also advised that the earlier ‘maximum contribution amount’ of £ 1,100 was likely to be under £ 500 and in some cases, with another contribution from its home country athletics organization around £ 2-250, the statement said.

In 1,500 meters, the World Championship silver medalist Hannah England said that the story does not look good ‘.

England said, “UK Sport Funding goes to £ 20 meter UK athletics and asks athletes to pay to be paid. It does not look like a good story,” England said. BBC 5 Live Breakfast,

“But that funding is audited and has to go to the production of the Olympic medal. It is a new championship, so there is no example for the Olympian coming from that incident. So it either asks people to contribute or they do not send a team. And it is really difficult for people to stomach.”
