The military media wing said on Friday that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was killed during a joint intelligence-based operation by security forces and law enforcement agencies in SWAT district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces and Leas operated a joint IFBO on the presence of terrorists on 18 April 2025.
The statement said, “During the conduct of the operation, the own soldiers attached the effectively raised location, resulting in the four wishes to hell to hell.” Fitna Al Khawarij is a term used for restricted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
In addition, security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain terrorists, who were actively involved in several terrorist activities in the area according to the ISPR.
“Sanitation operations are being done to eliminate any other Kharji found in the region”, stating that security forces were prescribed to eradicate the danger of terrorism from the country in coordination with Leas.
According to data released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICS), a think tank, the country saw a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in January 2025, increased by 42% compared to the previous month.
Statistics have shown that at least 74 terrorist attacks were recorded across the country, resulting in 91 deadly persons, including 35 security personnel, 20 civilians and 36 terrorists. Another 117 persons, including 53 security forces personnel, 54 civilians and 10 terrorists, suffered injuries.
KP remained the worst affected province, followed by Balochistan. In the districts of KP, militants carried out 27 attacks, resulting in 19 deadly individuals, including 11 security personnel, six civilians and two terrorists.
Tribal districts of KP (Eastern FATA) saw 19 attacks, leading to 46 deaths, including 13 security personnel, eight civilians and 25 terrorists.
