The killer’s creed shadow has launched on Mac, PC and Console, and when we gave it something about a mixed grade in our review, I find it much more interesting than someone else as a Mac gamer.
What is notable from the point of view of Mac Gamer is not just that AAA has actually come in Mac, but also that it has been launched as Windows at the same time on Mac. This is not very often, and Mac Gamers are used to wait before the years, before a title makes it in its side of divided.
This changed approach shows that Apple’s plan to woo the game is paying dividends. Now this speed needs to continue.
After all, as we have written earlier, Mac is not a problem with gaming – it is a shortage of games. Our recent Mac Studio review suggests that when it comes to gaming performance, Apple’s kit can create its own grip, but it takes several titles to land on Apple’s computers (if they all reach), then there is often thin picking for Apple fans.
It has been improving in recent years, and the killer’s creed shadow is the latest proof of that. But if we go back a year and look at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2024, we can see that there are still many big name titles that have been found on Mac so far.
Big names on mac
Apple originally announced that the killer’s creed shadow would be coming to Mac in WWDC 2024. But this was not the only game that was teased during the incident – in fact, there were many more. At that time, which was revealed about other titles?
Well, three still did not make it to launch it, although the Wutting Waves is scheduled to take place on 27 March. In addition, Mac Port of Robocop: The wicked city is still in development, according to its creators. Dead Island 2 was slate to launch in 2024, but it is completely absent when anyone can see that it is no clue.
The remaining ten games are all on Mac, and it involves control: the final version, which has been launched today. Palvorld first released Mac in March, while the sniper elite came on Apple’s computer on 4 January.
We saw Resident Evil 2 and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown at the end of 2024, while Frostpank 2, World of Varkraft: The War in, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard falls or summer. Riven and Valheim launched the same month as WWDC in June 2024.
It is not a terrible return, and with a title of big names such as the killer’s creed, control and resident Evil, all made it for Mac, there are many excellent options for Mac Gamers.
Cyberpank waiting for 2077

But despite all those launch, I am still ready to do something better: Cyberpank 2077, which is reportedly coming to the end of this year.
In fact, it is probably very close to launch. Apple ran it on a Mac Studio at his recent demo event, which suggests that it is almost ready for Go time. Also, Eagle-Idee Reditors noticed that the steam package of the game has been updated to support McOS, even though it is not yet available for Mac on Steam Storefront. All this suggests that this green light will get later as soon as possible.
This can be a major win for Mac Gamers, but may be telling how well the cyberpank performs on Apple Silicon. According to the test by Tech YouTuber Quinn Nelson, the killer’s creed shadow does not perform well on M4 MacBook Air, an average unacceptable 23fps. While the game improves on an M3 Max chip – obtaining an average 43fps – this chip is a terrible expensive way to get middleing performance in your game.
We have to expect that the cyberpank is better customized than the killer’s creed shadow. It looked promising in Apple’s recent hardware demo, but was on an expensive Mac Studio. It is out of reach for many people.
On you, apple

Apple promised a lot in the context of the games that would be coming to Mac in WWDC, but it should be seen only as an early point. Apple now needs to come forward to 2025 and beyond the release.
The company has great hardware that can create its grip while talking about gaming, even on the contrary only five years ago. But it is necessary to ensure that developers see it as an attractive destination for their efforts. We will not be able to call Mac True Gaming machines until they are both hardware chops and gaming rosters to woo the players.
The WWDC 2024 record is quite encouraging. Now, I am eager to see what wwdc is revealed in 2025. The ball is firmly in Apple’s court.
