The iPhone maker Apple has accelerated to hiring in prominent places to support its manufacturing expansion in India.

Despite the uncertainty of US President Donald Trump’s policies and concerns about mutual tariffs, the iPhone manufacturer Apple has accelerated to hiring in major places to support his manufacturing expansion in India.
The hiring race comes when Apple looks like the possibility of starting in April and later in MacBooks with the production of airpods to proceed from iPhones.
American veteran, which has more than 200 employees in India’s supply chain and support roles, has listed several job openings on its website for positions in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
These rent Foxconn is honorable, supporting the expansion of Apple through manufacturing partners such as Tata Electronics and other supply chain partners.
Apple has more than 3,000 employees in India.
Apple is hiring at work
Sources indicate that the company with cupertino-council may double its supply chain and support roles. This step aligns with Apple’s competition to keep on the ongoing work for retail expansion in India.
Apple has posted several openings for global roles in India, including global supply managers, raw material supply chain, mechanical enclosure supply chain, battery manufacturing design, manufacturing design and model new products manager. In these roles, employees will collaborate with Apple’s industrial design, product design and manufacturing design teams and its global suppliers.
A person familiar with the case told Moneycontrol, “Tata Electronics and Honorable New Supply Chain partners such as Aequs, MOTHERSON Group and Bharat Forge are scaling. More players will soon join the growing list of Indian suppliers.”
“Apple will also open more global and local positions to work with these manufacturing and supply chain partners in India.”
Export shock
The hiring ramp-up coincides with Apple’s plan to start local production of airpods for export at Foxconn plant in Hyderabad. Sources said the production is expected to begin in April, even when Jabil continued manufacturing components for the wireless charging cases of Airpods in Pune.
Apple’s major supplier, Honorable Prosecons (Foxcon), aggressively intensifying their changes of iPhone supply chains in India. Recently, according to a report by JP Morgan, Foxcon’s manufacturing capacity in India is estimated to increase from 11 percent to 2027 to 2027 to 21 percent.
A report in Nomura states that 65 percent of all “Made in India” iPhones were exported in 2024. This figure is expected to increase by 84 percent within five years. Apple produced 26.4 million iPhones of $ 9.37 billion in 2024, with an estimate of production to 31.5 million units of $ 11.89 billion in 2025 and 40.68 million units of $ 16.87 billion in 2026.
The expansion in airpods production and supply chain recruitment is important among concerns on mutual tariffs declared by Trump, which is expected to kick from April 2.
Apple has invested $ 500 billion in the US over the next four years, which is looking at Trump’s concerns on manufacturing jobs sent out of the country.
It is working to create an ecosystem of Indian suppliers for components used in iPhones, MacBook, iPads and Airpods. The US tech giant has attached more than 40 Indian companies – including large Congress, IT firm and electronics manufacturing service (EMS) provider – for this initiative, as Moneycontrol reported specially on 21 November.
These companies include Dixon Technologies, Amber Enterprises, HCLTECH and Wipro Enterprises. Apple is discussing sourcing parts and components for its supply chain with these firms.
The interaction with Indian companies reflects the strategy to deepen its local manufacturing capabilities and expand its “Made in India” product lineup.
Through its suppliers, Apple has also started exporting components for airpods and macbooks in Vietnam and China, where they will be used in the final product assembly. Sources indicated that the objective of this initiative is to ensure that mechanical components such as enclosures, Mother’s Group, Jewels, Aicuuses and Tata Electronics from Indian partners, meet global quality standards.
