Even Chennai Super Kings tolerated one of their most challenging seasons, veteran spinner Anil Kumble believes that a bright future seeds are already sown, with the Developed Brevis in its heart.
Speaking on Jiohotstar, Kumble offered bright praise for young South African, which has emerged as a rare positive in an otherwise difficult campaign.
Kumble said, “His ability to play spin was really standing out. Chennai is not easy. It is a two-book wicket where there is a strange ball.” “He has done in South Africa, in first-class cricket, and at U-19 level, which he has come in the IPL.”
The arrival of Brevis is a story in itself. The draft in the mid-se-border as an injury replacement was prepared, their effects have been immediate, provoking the memories of another famous late entry.
“He came as a replacement, originally not even part of the squad, and it reminds me how a ‘Universe Boss’ (Chris Gayle) also went as RCB’s replacement in 2011 and became an icon,” Kumble commented.
Drawing such similarities is not a casual support. For Kumble, the range of Brevis strokes, composer under pressure, and maturity on hard wickets like Chennai, he should now manufacture a player CSK.
“Brevis has all the shots. With Rachin Rabindra, Matre, and Pathirana, CSK has a young core to construct. Brevis has the ability to have a long -term property for franchise.”

Kumble also reflected on the options of the Chennai team this season, which suggests more continuity. Especially at the top of the order, could help. But with enticing the expectations of merit, he urged CSK to look at the final stretch as a platform to prepare for the future.
“Five games are left, this is the right time to give youth a decent run and start construction for the future.”
Former CSK batsman Ambati Rayudu also shared a similar feeling while speaking on the show, seen the failures of this season as a rigorous but necessary reminder.
“I know this is the lowest climb, but it is also a great learning for CSK,” Rayudu said. “Even MS Dhoni has admitted that the game has moved forward. From here, he will be very, very cautious about developing with sports.”

Rayudu pointed to emergence as the major positivity of Brevis and Matre, suggesting that such infections often require painful reset.
He said, “Sometimes, it takes such a season to ground and remind them that the game is always bigger than us. You have to stick to the basics and be humble.”
As a new era for CSK, the emergence of Brevis can be the story that gives hope to fans.
