Heroic The company has lost the Chief Medical Officer of its pharmacy division after five years.
Dr. Vin Gupta, who recently worked as a medical head of Amazon Pharmacy, joined Amazon in 2020 as the company was in the early stages of a multi-year attempt to create a health care business.

Amazon did not immediately name Gupta’s successor, whose LinkedIn Profile states that he left last month.

For Amazon CEO Andy Jassi, Gupta’s exit has another high-profile departure in health businesses. The Grand Challenge called Gupta Amazon also included a moonshot incubator, which was launched as a way to develop experimental businesses, including health care initiative under the founder Jeff Bezos.
