A spokesman for Aldi said: “Our supplier is recalling the potatoes of food inspired with herbs and butter because it contains allergen milk that is not listed on packaging.
“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologize that this product does not meet our common high standards and thanks for your cooperation.”
Meanwhile, the FSA said: “Aldi is remembering the above product and it is advisable to contact relevant allergies organizations, which will tell their members about recall.

“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling this product.
“These notices explain to the customers why the product is being remembered and tell them what they have bought the product then to do.
