In a recent interview with Jena Bush-Hagar and Olivia Munn, Coming said he was excited to be able to return to the character after more than 20 years.
“It’s not crazy? I am excited and amazed. It’s 23 years when I was a superhero. I already have some makeup tests for the role, but it is great about it that there were about 4 and a half hours to apply it, but now only 90 minutes,” he explained. “Earlier, all tattoos were done by hand. They did not decide on them before starting filming. Now, they just stick to my face. It’s a game-changer. I am going back as a 60-year-old superhero, and everyone looks really very cute.
The actors’ announcement also made it clear that the film was undergoing production, and Cumming confirmed that during their interview. “I go to London on Sunday and start shooting very soon, it’s going crazy,” he said.
We do not yet know how big the roles for these returning X-men will be, many of which have been away from their roles for almost 20 years. Nevertheless, his return is one of the biggest signs so far that Marvel is planning to fully integrate X-Main in his universe.
