AI or any disruption that Ur Ur brings sorrow to his people is useless.

    – Gurmeet Chadha (@connectgurmeet) March 17, 2025

Chadha condemned the widespread sorting disguised as innovation, and argued that technological progress should not damage the livelihood of the people. He further stated that AI and other disruptive technologies are meaningless if they suffer.

He said, “AI or any disruption that Ur Ur brings sorrow to his people, is useless,” he said.

Citing the vision of Guru Nanak Dev ‘Sarbat da Bhalla‘(Welfare of all), he emphasized the importance of giving priority to the good of people in any innovation.

He said, “Call me old schools, but I give importance to more people than any innovation.

Chadha’s comment came after Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassi’s efforts to reorganize the aggressive reorganization and to empower the employees.

Jassi’s purpose is to streamline operations and promote more agile work environment, citing concerns about dull decision making due to highly managerial layers.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Jassi criticized the current structure, saying, “You combine a lot of people and you end up with a lot of middle managers.”

He argued that this excess of middle management often leads to unnecessary bureaucracy and slows down progress.

“You are a pre-sit-up with these people, for the pre-sitting, for the decision meeting, and not always recommendations and are not the owners of things,” Jassi explained in detail.
