Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shahzad criticized the team vice-captain Shadab Khan for his performance in the first T20I against New Zealand and questioned his joining the squad.

In the first T20i against New Zealand, Shadab Khan scored only 3 runs and failed to take any wickets in his two overs.

Speaking on a private TV channel, Ahmed Shahzad asked whether Shadab Khan had met to secure his location.

“You are talking about Shadab, tell me what performance he has performed? Who brought him to the team? Let this series pass, PCB has a separate plan, and Shadab is included in the team for a specific purpose,” Ahmed Shehzad said

Regarding rumors of Shadab Khan becoming the next captain, Ahmed Shahzad said that the authorities had sent a New Zealand youth team to buy time.

Ahmed Shahzad said, “Such things are being said. We also want to know about these things, but this is just the first T20. Let’s see what happens next. ,

The Pakistan cricket team suffered a nine -wicket defeat to New Zealand in the first Pak vs NZ T20I on Sunday.

Irfan Khan only managed to score only one run before his dismissal, making Pakistan first struggling at 1/3 in 2.2 overs in Pak vs. NZ T20I.

All -rounder Khushdil Shah scored 32 runs after Captain Salman Aga, who scored 18 runs in total. Pakistan was excluded for 91 in 18.4 overs-their fifth lowest score in T20I format.
