The retired Navy was the architect of the Admiral William Macravan Mission who tracked Osama bin Laden. He is also a bestseling writer. Now, Macravan and his daughter, Kelly, ideas about the story are:
William: When I was a boy, my father, an Air Force fighter pilot, used to tell me stories before sleeping, made characters and weave them in thrilling stories of adventure. There was a moral in every story. Elmer Elf was always honest and kind, helping those less lucky people. Freddy was the Frog courageous and heroic, saved people from aliens and bad people.
I used to wait for a new adventure work every night, I did not know that I was also learning a lesson.
When I became a father, I wanted to pass that tradition with my daughter, Kelly.

Kelly: When my brother and I were children, my father told us stories. Every night, I eagerly wait for his arrival, excited to hear a new story.
At that time, I did not realize that these stories were more than just entertaining; They were carefully designed to teach us valuable ethics and lessons that they hoped that we would take to our daily life. As much as his father taught him this lesson, he was now passing him.
William: In the present form Parents, we want our children to grow up to be thoughtful, kind, generous, honest, hard and courageous. We hope that they will learn these lessons by looking at us, provided we do the right thing in life.
However, we tell them at a young age, play an important role in their development. If we tell them the stories of boys and girls like them, who cross the challenges from being honest, great and courageous, then they are more likely to praise and display these qualities.
Kelly: I have always understood the power of storytelling, but as a new mother, I know how important it is to continue our family tradition of reading my daughter. At a time when the reading level is decreasing and the screen time is increasing, it is more important than ever to share stories that teach valuable and attractively valuable lessons.
Small, brown books for young readers
William: Translating my adult books in children’s books was a natural development, and was an important mission for me. My adult books try to express all the values that I believe that we make us better citizens, leaders and humans.
I try to catch the same subjects in my children’s books. Whether it is the knowledge of Navy seal training, or the power of a simple work, such as making our beds, the stories we tell to our children and grandchildren can shape our lives for better.
