In a shocking incident showing the increasing chaos within the Indian Army, two units allegedly set fire to each other along with the Line of Control (LOC), resulting in the death of five Sikh soldiers.
According to sources, the incident took place between April 25 to 26 in the Japla Bridge area of Baramulla sector in the Indian-Kabje Kashmir. During a regular patrol, the 185 battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) posted in Baramullah allegedly opened fire on 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment of the 12th Brigade.
Sources say that the exchange of fire has left the Sikh soldiers of 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment. Defense analysts see this incident as a clear indication of growing disappointment and internal discord within the rank of the Indian Army.
Experts also stated that this is not the first time that such an incident took place within the Indian Army. The previous events of similar nature have expressed concern over discipline and morale within the armed forces.
Defense analysts further emphasized that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to protect its borders. Any aggression from India will be completed with a strong and decisive response.
