Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederick Nielsen said on Sunday that the comments of US officials about the Arctic Island have been insulted and the island could not be bought in the disregard of US President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly thought of buying strategic fields.
Nielsen stated that Greenland “ever, would never be a piece of property, which can only be purchased by anyone” as he stood in Denmark, Linnagbi, during a joint press conference by Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Fredericksen during a joint press conference by Fredericseen’s Marienborg Officer Residence.
The Greenlandic Prime Minister was meeting with Fredericseen on the second day of Denmark’s three -day official visit. Greenland is a semi-autonomous region of Denmark.
“Negotiations with the United States have not been respectable,” said Nielsen. “The words used have not been respected. That is why we need in this situation, we need to stand together.”
Trump says he was not ‘trolling’ about getting Greenland, Canada as the 51st state.

Political parties in Greenland recently agreed to form a wide-based new coalition government amidst Trump’s goals.
This, as the island has been bending from Denmark to final freedom for years.
Nielsen’s three -day visit wants to address future support between the two countries.
“Denmark has the will to invest in Greenlandic society, and we do not only have so for historical reasons. We also have this because we (Danish) are part of the Commonwealth,” said Fredercaseen.
