New Delhi: In a significant development, the Indian streaming platform Fankode has announced that it will suspend the Broadcast of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 in India with immediate effect starting on Thursday, April 24.
This decision follows the deadly terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claiming the lives of more than 25 persons including Indian tourists.
In view of the deep disturbing incident in Pahalgam and the official sentiment of PSL in India, Fankode, will not stream the remaining matches of the tournament in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet released a response to development, but this step is already making waves in sports and political communities, fans have reacted strongly on social media.
PSL, Pakistan’s leading T20 tournament, historically had mixed relations with the Indian audience due to diplomatic tension between the two countries.
It marks another chapter in the intersection of geopolitics and sports, a place that is often caught in a crossfire of large national issues.
