In a Hardik Instagram post after his unbeaten 76 runs for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Rohit shared a picture, celebrating his return and Nair was tagged with a simple yet powerful message: “Thanks Bro @Abhisheknayar.”

Rohit and Nair go a long way, playing together for Mumbai in domestic cricket. In recent years, whenever Rohit returns home, Nair has quietly played his individual coach, which the captain of India helped to refine his game through a session each.
The effect of Nair is well spread beyond Rohit. KL Rahul recently accepted Nair’s support after a match winning a match for Delhi Capital, stating, “Big Shaoutout for Abhishek Nair. I have done a lot of work with him since coming to the Indian team.”
