Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola said that the team should use the Champions League as an inspiration to qualify for the next season competition. The city’s streak to reach the quarter-finals for seven straight sessions between 2018-2024 ended when he lost to Real Madrid in 16 periods.
“Of course it’s inspiration, yes. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to fight to qualify for the Champions League … it’s in our hands, and of course Gudison Parks and Villas are important on a large scale. We don’t have much time. We have not much time. I enjoyed (Champions League) Games, really good games.
He said, “Never perform well in sports, (there) is not worth it. Hopefully in the next season we can work with big clubs in Europe and are better challenging them than this season, which we have done in the last seven years. I take it in the way.”
In addition to the Champions League, the City has been sitting fifth in the standing, even the bottom of the cross league season, 21 points of Liverpool of the leaders. They have Chelsea and Eston Villa breathing their Nexx, with only one point to separate the side of the Guardiola.
Defending champions will face Everton at 13th position in Gudison Park, where they would be without striker Erling Hland and goalkeeper Ederson, who suffered a waist injury with a 5–2 return victory over Crystal Palace last week.
“The next game he (Handand) will not be ready. We do not know how long the Ederson will remain out.
