To win the National Championship, Fresh of the National Championship, Florida’s Sophomore Alex Kondon told ESPN that he would enter the 2025 NBA draft, maintaining his NCAA eligibility.

“It was a real season,” Kondon said on Wednesday. “This team was very deep, and we all played selflessly. Many people stepped in big moments. We had a great team, and that is why we won the championship.”

In ESPN’s NBA draft estimates, the probability of number 29 was named Condon, 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.2 aid and 1.3 blocks at 24.9 minutes per game, the third team was named All-Sek after average.

He assisted Florida in a record of 36–4, including a 12-direct win to end the season, both to secure the title of SEC tournament and cut the nets in San Antonio. His college career may be the last game, with 12 points, seven rebounds and four stolen in a win over Houston, which could seal the 65-63 victory, dive on the floor for a loose ball in the last second, 12 points, seven rebounds and four theft.

“It was a crazy drama,” said Kondon. “Walt (Clayton Junior) did a big job to intensify (Emanuel) to refuse his 3-pointer. The entire stadium stopped because no one knew what was happening. I saw a hauston player raced to run to try and run to win a drama, so I did what I came back on the floor.

Perth, Australia -born big men were a late Blomer in the 2024 High School recruitment category of Florida, who started playing serious organized basketballs at the age of 16. Earlier, he favored cricket, water polo and especially Australian rules football.

“My parents put me in a lot of sports,” said Condon. “It was good to develop my hand coordination with my hand. Playing football helped me develop my ruthlessness. I did not come to Florida with a lot of expectations. The coaching staff used to bet on me, and I wanted to reward them by playing hard.

Kondon played a real role as a new person, but he certainly emerged as a sophomore as the most important player in Florida, a significant groove in the ball-screen crime of his continuity, with the ability to become a playmaker out of the drill handoff, allowing them to put crime and many big men. While he did not always post huge scoring numbers, his strong experience for the game was evident in the way he passes and plugs the gap defensively with the ball, while his nonstop intensity is moving on the floor and crashes the aggressive glass that sets tone for teammates.

“We play through older people in Florida,” Condon said. “My job is to get the ball to our guard and then crush the glass. My defense is NBA-Taiyar. I already know how to switch ball-screen and stay in front of small guards, which you need to do in NBA.

Kondon has to decide by 28 May whether to withdraw its name from the draft. Should he take out his name on the deadline, he says that he will return to Florida in the next season.

“There is no way that I can go to another school,” Condon said. “If I confirm the NBA teams that I am in 15-30 range, if there is some guarantee, I will consider keeping my name. I have a great position in Florida. It has to be something special, my family will have to agree that we can’t down it down.”

The NBA draft Commonen will be held in Chicago from 11-18 May.
