    Kuala Lumpur: According to his family and medical officials report, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmed Badawi died on Monday.

    Abdullah became the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2003, after 22 years after the resignation of veteran leader Mahathir Mohammad.

    East premiere died at 7:10 pm (1110 GMT) In the Rajdhani Kuala Lumpur at the National Heart Institute, his son -in -law and former Health Minister Khairi Jamaluddin said in an Instagram post, “Specified the cause of death.

    The institute said in a statement that Abdullah was admitted to the National Heart Institute on Sunday after facing difficulties in breathing and was immediately kept under intensive care.

    “Despite all medical efforts, he died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones,” the institute said.

    As a premiere of the Muslim-Bahul country, Abdullah captured an anti-corruption campaign and spied a liberal version of Islam, aimed at economic and technological progress on religious fundamentalism. But he came under public criticism for his review of fuel subsidy, which saw a fast spike in prices.

    Abdullah left the post a year after an election in 2009, seeking that the then ruling Barsan National Alliance lost its parliamentary supermascularity for the first time in the history of the country. He was successful by Najeeb Razak.
