Jasprit Bumrah and Karun Nair entered a hot argument during the 12-run win over the Mumbai Indians’ Premier League Table-Toppers Delhi Capital, which removed the Delhi franchise from above the standing on Sunday. Chasing a target of 206 set by Mumbai, Delhi almost won for Nair’s 40-goal 89. Till Sunday, Delhi was the last unbeaten team in IPL 2025.
Nair scored 28 runs from Jasprit Bumrah in the powerplay overs, including killing the Bharat Paes Spierhead for three fours and two sixes.
In the 19th over, wheels chased Delhi when DC had nine delivery from 193/7, but Mumbai scored three runs out in an over for the match.
The flashpoint between Nair and Bumrah came when the Delhi batsman collided in Bumrah at the end of the non-strayer, completing a second run. It looked like an unknown collision. But it was the heat that it grew with Pacer, who faced the batsman. Words were exchanged between the pair. Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya needed to play the role of peacekeepers, while former Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma enjoyed the play.

For Nair, the knock was a type of redemption after purchasing Rs 50 lakh in the IPL mega auction. He was a leading scorer with 779 runs in the 2024 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he scored a five-century run on a 124 strike-day strike.
