World banks are likely to bear the brunt of trade war to cut rates with Americans.

The central banks of New Zealand and India cut rates on Wednesday, which could carry forward a broader step by policy makers to try and cushion their economies.

But some economists have warned that American consumers eventually are likely to bear the brunt of trade war, from sneakers to alcohol, they face higher prices.

Danish luxury stereo manufacturer Bang & Olufasen said on Wednesday that it would increase prices on selected products next month for tariffs and other factors.

About three-fourths of Americans hopes that the prices of everyday goods will increase in the next six months, a new reveater/Ipsos pole.

The full effects of Wednesday’s tariffs cannot be felt for some time, as any goods will be exempted from new levy as a transit in the form of midnight as long as they arrive in the US by 27 May.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandi said on Wednesday that Britain would not make any changes in its online security act as part of the trade dialogue with the United States.

“This is not on the table as part of a business talks.”

Britain has targeted to attack a new economic partnership with the United States focusing on technical and artificial intelligence to soften the widespread tariff shock declared by President Donald Trump last week.

Britain’s online security act, which has become a law in 2023, sets a difficult standard for platforms to deal with criminal activity, with emphasis on child protection and illegal material.
