A pair of Division III baseball collided in Taink, New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon. Remarkable, both were broken.
Entering his competition with the University of Yeshiva, the baseball squad of Lehman College had lost 42 consecutive games. But it entered with confidence. Why?
Yeshiva had a 99-game losing line.
Apparently, between two squads had to give something to a doublehead.
Lehman Lightning Jeet was the first person to go to the column, took Macabes down 7-6 In the first game. This was the first power win since May 9, 2023.
The victory was won after a tough competition by Lehman. Yeshiva took an initial 5–1 lead and was ahead 6–4 in the seventh and final inning (Doublehead Rules).
But a double by Brandon Dines scored a run to force Extra in a tying run for Lightning. The Ellius firmine was hit by a pitch at the top of the eighth to put Lehman ahead for good. Freshman Pitcher Justin Chamoro, who went to all eight innings for lightanning, retired Macabes to end Lehman’s streak.

But Yeshiva’s discovery to end his streak did not end. It jumped for a three -run lead in the first innings. Lehman replied with a pair of runs in the top of the third, but Macabis broke the open game at the bottom of the frame, with Cature Jake Arno’s two-Raine single with a four-rose outburst.
Freshman Pitcher Samuel Vizman entered the fifth innings for the Yeshiva Starter Ellie Zardok, who survived a base-loaded jam. He ran Macabez in the final innings, in which fellow Freshman Noah Stinmetz closed the door to seal 9-5 Victory.
Triumph was the first of Yeshiva in three years, snatching a winner streak, which was dated on 27 February, 2022. It was also the first -year head coach Jeremy Rena’s first win, leading Macabez.

Lehman will return to action with a doublehead against Baruch College on Saturday, while Yeshiva will have time to enjoy the streak of his new victory – Macabez will not play again till 25 April when he faces Maritime College.
