What are the signs of blunt knives?

A good, sharp knife is necessary for both the safety and efficiency of your cooking campaign. Here are some indications that need to speed up your knife.

    1. Conflict while cutting: When you need to apply additional pressure to cut the vegetable, it is time to intensify your knife.

    2. Uneven Cutting: A good knife glides through a fruit or vegetable. On the other hand, a dull knife goes to crush your food or make uneven cut, causing the dish to become unexpected.

    3. Gets from food: This can be dangerous. When you apply pressure with a dull knife on a fruit or vegetable, the blade can easily slip from the surface, which greatly increases the risk of accidents.

    4. Smooth edges: A dull knife feels smooth on the edge, while a sharp knife looks slightly thick.

How many times should you intensify the knife?

It depends on the use of cooking arsenal. According to a report by the official site of New York’s Institute of Pak Education, Home Cook should intensify its knife once or twice every month. While professional chefs usually take out their weightstone once every ten days, although they often roam through several knives day by day -day or work. But always remember, a knife over a knife can cause damage to the edge and make it dull.

4 4 effective ways to intensify the kitchen knife without a sharpner:

    1. Use a ceramic mug:

This is correct! Just flip the mug and pull it slowly against the rough ring down. The uneven surface mimics a sharp stone and helps the blade to achieve its sharpness.

    2. Try a smooth stone from your garden:

Take a smooth floor stone, clean it thoroughly and cross the blade and run the alternative sides. Make sure the stone is moist to reduce friction. These stones serve as an alternative to traditional whey to intensify knives and blades.

    3. Use another knife:

This is probably the easiest and most convenient option that you can find in your kitchen. Take two knives and slide the edge of one with the spine of the other. This may not give you the desired sharpness, but it can be a quick improvement for those desperate time.

    4. Nail filer:

It acts as a respected blade. Place the file on a flat surface and slowly run the knife blade. Make sure you clean the blade after the procedure to wash the metal residues of the nail filer.
