Ben and Jerry is celebrating free cone day on Tuesday.
The Vermont-based ice cream brand will once again give free ice cream at its store from 12 noon to 8 pm at its store. Customers will be able to detect their nearest Ben and Jerry on the company’s website.
“Free Con Day has always been a gratitude – we want to thank our fans to the world’s best fans with free ice cream and pure joy,” said in a press release, former CEO of Ben & Jerry said in a press release.
“This year, more than ever, we have been reminded how powerful those small moments of happiness can be. We can’t wait to connect with our fans to the most Ben and Jerry-Estay day of the year on the scoop of ice cream!”
The company has been celebrating free cone day on April 8 for decades, dating back in 1979 when they used a holiday to thank their customers, so that they could help survive their first winter in Vermont.
Compared to Dairy Queen’s Free Con Day earlier this year, Ben & Jerry allows a free scoop in any taste and encourages customers to finish their scoop before returning to line and ordering each other. No minimum purchase is required to participate in the series free cone day.

Last month, on March 20, the Dairy Queen offered free small vanilla cones for her own free cone day. Customers who opted for only $ 1 to add a chocolate dip in their free vanilla cones supported non-profit outfits children’s miracle network hospitals.
The company said in a press release at the time, “Whether you have a cone in only one year, or if you have a cone every day of the year, be sure to stop at Dairy Queen® to get a free cone characterized by our world famous DQ soft service.”
“Due to no wire or stress being attached, this day brings nothing but pure pleasure. Make it a family, grab your best bud, or take out yourself on a free cone day – there is no wrong way to celebrate.”
Ben & Jerry’s first was established in 1978, when Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield took $ 5 correspondence courses in making ice cream in Pen State. He then invested $ 12,000 to open his first ice cream scoop shop at a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont.
As of 2019, more than 35 countries have 558 Ben and Jerry locations worldwide.
