The International Cricket Council on Monday imposed a fine against New Zealand for a slow rate in its recently concluded ODI ODI series against New Zealand, making it for the third consecutive time during the series.
Rizwan -led side has been punished by 5% of their match fee due to a slow rate during the third and final fifty over matches at Bay Oval in Mount Maunaganui.
The penalty is fined after Pakistan has damaged 3โ0 in the above series, stopping a disappointing tour for visitors.
The fine was imposed by Jeff Crowe, who was a member of the match referee’s Emirates ICC Elite Panel, after determining that Pakistan fell less than the required target, factoring in time allowance.
According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for players and players aid personnel, the players are fined 5% of their match fee, which fails to bowl within the allocated time in their favor.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan accepted the allegations with on-field umpires Chris Brown and Paul Refel, with third umpire Michael Gough and fourth umpire Wayne Nights, leveled the charge.
It is worth mentioning that men in Green ended an abusive tour, jointly won one in eight matches between five T20 and three Odis.
Pakistan suffered a 4โ1 defeat in the T20I series, only in the match by Hasan Nawaz, courtesy of an extraordinary century.
The team suffered a 3โ0 defeat in Odis, in which there was no meeting, which did not have a match winning innings for the team.
