Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday announced the central contract list for the men’s team for the 2025-26 season, where it honored 18 players with national contracts, while two players earned a hybrid contract.
According to the CSA, with the onset of hybrid contracts, David Miller and Rasi Van Der Dusen will be contracted to participate in specific agreed-divine tourism and ICC events.
The largest snub wicketkeeper in the 18-Khiladi Central Contract List was Batter Henrik Klassen. According to the board, the discussion about Klassen’s future is still going on, and “final decision will be made in the appointed time”.
The national contract was first honored for Pesar Lizad Williams and all -rounder Senuran Muthusmy. Kwena Maphaka, which shines in the U-19 World Cup, is also included in the list of central contracted players.
Hanok NKWE, director and high performance of national teams, said, “All these players have been contracted keeping the next World Test Championship cycle and 2027 Cricket World Cup in view of the soil of the house. Hybrid contracts take into account the dynamic nature of modern-day cricket and will apply to David and Raisi with the opportunity to contribute to the team during the team and ICC programs.”
The contract will cover a busy weather with a domestic chain against Zimbabwe, Australia, England, Pakistan and India along with bilateral tourism for South Africa.
The calendar will also include two major ICC events: the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, which will be at Lord’s in England in June, and the T20 World Cup 2026, will be played in India and Sri Lanka early next year.
