A group of 20 top tennis stars including Novak Djokovic, Jannik Cinner, Aryana Sabalenka and Coco Goff have signed a letter to the head of the Grand Slam tournament, seeking more impact on major compensation and major tournaments.

The letter attracts handwritten signatures of the top 11 women’s top 10 women in the march rankings, except Elena Ribbikina. The dated 21 March, the letter was sent to the heads of the four Grand Slam tournament, who was asked to discuss their concerns for the in-tradition meeting during this month’s Madrid. It was addressed to Craig Tile (Australian Open), Stephen Morel (French Open), Sally Bolton (Wimbledon) and Lu Sher (US Open).

The 3 major concerns mentioned by the players addressed in the letter by the organizer are:

    1. Increase in players’ funds “reflect the contribution of players to the tournament price, as mentioned in the letter, as mentioned in the letter.

    2. Players demand their greater impact in decision making in major tournaments that “direct competition, as well as players health and welfare.”

    3. Athletes called for the Grand Slam tournament to make more and more financial contribution to player welfare programs.

In response to the demands, USTA spokesperson Brendon McIntire said the organization welcomes the “open and direct conversation with the players”, and they are constantly looking for ways to improve players and fan benefits.

The news of the letter being sent for more than two weeks after the Players Association filed a woman and men’s professional tourism, the International Tennis Federation and the integrity agency of the sports in the federal court in New York broke the news of the letter being sent for more than two weeks. Djokovic, however, was not part of the plaintiff’s list, as he called other players to step into.

The suit allocates more money for players, while also looking at other defects in the way of playing. The players were allocated a total of $ 75 million for compensation, including covering prize money and other expenses. This amount marks an increase of 15% from $ 64 million introduced in 2024 US Open.
