Michael Jackson under a biopic title Michael Was at work, tapping his nephew Jaffer Jackson to play the reputed pop icon.
However, the report now states that the film’s distributors, Lionsgate and Universal Pictures, plan to extend the release date, which is currently 3 October.
Sources told deadline The reason behind this is a possible decision to divide the film into two parts.
This is not the first time the film has faced a huge change. Earlier, the work on the script of the film was re -prepared for rehabilitation after the completion of the principal photographer in May last May.
In addition to the nephew of late MJ in the lead, Coleman Domingo will also act as a family patron in the biopic who will act as Jackson.
The actor earlier said, “I am excited to be a part of a film that actually investigates her influence on music and culture as a global icon with veteran Michael Jackson’s complex soul.”
“Not only I am lucky to have a rich, complex and flawed character to portray in Jackson, but I also have a front ro seat for Jafar’s incredible change,” he continued.
“After seeing him in a rehearsal, my mind was blown away. The way Jafar is broadcasting his late uncle is something divine. His talent and avatar of Michael’s essence is just at another level,” Kolman concluded.
