Former Providence Forward Bryas Hopkins, one of the top -10 transfer in the portal, committed to St. John on Monday, sources told ESPN.
After the commitment of Arizona State Guard Josan Sanon last week, Hopkins is the second transfer addition to Rick Pitino and Red Storm this month.
6-Foot-7 further from Illinois, Hopkins has recalled most of the last two sessions with injuries, but earned the first-Tim All-Big East Samman as a Sophomore after 15.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.3 averages for 2.3.
He faced an torn ACL in January 2024 and did not return to game action until 3 December last season. Hopkins played in just three matches before suffering from bone injury and finally closed it for the season in late January.
In 50 sports in three sessions in providence, he took an average of 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Hopkins started his career with a season under John Calipari at Kentki.
He should be the correct replacement for the Big East Player of the Year RJ Louis Junior, which is planning to enter the NBA draft and transfer portal.
St. John will lose Louis and Seniors Qadri Richmond and Aaron Scott from this season’s Big East Regular season and conference tournament champions, but the return of Zubi AGOFur with Hopkins and Sanon’s additions should keep a red storm in a national conversation. St. John is also square in the mixture of Georgia transfer Silas Damry Junior after demands.
