Pakistan’s Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement on Sunday that Pakistan’s batsman, Usman Khan, was rejected from another ODI against New Zealand after maintaining a hamstring injury.
The 29 -year -old inaugural batsman was injured during a fielding during his first ODI against New Zealand at McLeen Park in Napier on Friday.
The MRI scan confirmed the tear of a lower-grain, making Usman unavailable for the second ODI on 2 April at Seddon Park in Hamilton, according to the statement.
Team Pakistan is in New Zealand for the three-match ODI series, moving ahead of Kiwi 1-0. After facing each other on Wednesday for the second game, the sides will meet for the final ODI at Bay Oval on Saturday, 5 April.
Pakistan was first chasing a malignant target of 345 in the ODI and the side started confidently, which was with Usman Khan and Abdullah Shafiq with an 83 -run inauguration stand. Both batsmen adopted an aggressive approach, laid a strong foundation.
However, success came in the 13th over when Nathan Smith rejected Usman for 39.
Pakistan lost the match by 73 runs, when Kiwi dropped the side on a score of 271 runs in 44.1 overs.
