Royal Challengers Bangalore said on Thursday that Virat Kohli’s exemplary work morality serves as a source of inspiration for his peers, and the Indian superstar is committed to raising the bar for themselves, said Royal Challengers on Thursday.
Karthik said that Kohli is hungry at any time to improve and expand the list of his performances as a batsman. Karthik said, “You still talk to him – just as I came out – he wanted to work on another shot. In this stage of his career, he still wants to add something new to his game.” He said, “He just wants to improve and keeps increasing the bar. This is what makes him a special player,” he added on the eve of CSK-RCB Clash in Chennai.
Former RCB batsman, who retired at the end of the last IPL season, said Kohli’s spin game in white-ball cricket has seen a notable improvement despite its recent struggles.
“He is coming for a few severe runs in the Champions Trophy. He has been batting well against spin in recent times, especially in white ball cricket. Therefore, I don’t want to go very deeply into the statids,” Karthik.
“I am not very aware. But if I remember, in the final of the World Cup, he got runs, where it matured. And moreover, in the Champions Trophy, he had a good tournament, the second largest run-run-run-run-player for India.
“And he does not come without playing spin, because in Dubai, as you all know, how well it helps spinners, he was very aware. So, I am confident that, he is batting now and he has ever done it.”
Asked whether to play spin is a problem area for RCB batsmen, Karthik said, “I don’t think there is a problem. We have played a match, we have a completely new side. We have a completely new side. A strength, I believe, the way we play the spin and as this tournament comes out, you will see it.

“CSK has three good spinners, there is no doubt. But we also have very good batsmen, competent batsmen, which we trust. One reason is that we have chosen them how well they play spin.”
