Kim Kardashian’s interest in prison reform was ignited by a decisive moment during his teenage age, revealing.

During Thursday’s episode KardashianThe 44 -year -old reality star visited a group of prisoners at Sacramento along with his sister, Kendall Jenner, other sister’s former Scott Disic and friend Olivia Piercene.

The prisoners, who demonstrated good behavior, were in a program, where they could spend the last two to three years of their chaos in a fire camp to eliminate their criminal records. This special group was helping to fight wildfires in California.

Kardashians sat with a group of disorganized firefighters – all 26 years old and less than that – and the first time a woman remembered going to jail. During the journey, there was a prisoner who shared a “crazy” story after sending her lover to take drugs. Skims then reminded the founder of an experience, who was as a teenager.

“Once, my friend had to go to this apartment to take ecstasy, and like, what would happen if anything happens?” He said during the episode. “I don’t want the name of the name. I am putting myself in trouble.”

After Jenner laughed at her sister’s confession, Kardashian said that if “something S *** went down,” when she was picking up the drug, she would have someone.

He said, “I was able to call my father and he would have helped me,” he said, honoring his late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian.

Finally, his experience as a teenager and his previous conversation with female prisoners encouraged Kardashian to learn more about the prison reform.

“I really thought of myself: ‘This is just so crazy. These people need help,” he said. “The more I joined it, the more I heard the stories. I was so,” Oh, my god. It’s very f *** aid up. ” Like we help here?

During an admission interview, he admitted that his work with jails was also inspired by his late father.

“I think my passion for gel reform actually turned around with my father,” he said. “And giving all that he will do and just in all places he will take us to help other people. My father resonates through all that and I always feel his energy to do something every time every time.”

He also said that when it was “really surprising” to meet some prisoners, she was really pleased that her sister was a “eye -opening moment” in the camp.

“I think every time I travel like this, it is really just that the battery runs in my back,” Kardashian concluded. “And want to keep fighting for the people inside and finish the law school and just what I am doing.”

After visiting the fire camp in August 2024, Kardashian also shared a post on Instagram about the experience. In the caption, he called the program “the first of its kind”, as it allows people to get out of jails and “serve the community”.

“Through this voluntary program they can completely eliminate the records of their hooliganism when they are released and can now go to the fire career when they exit,” he wrote in the caption, as well as some pictures of men in the fire camp. ,

Amidst the devastating wildfire at Los Angeles in January, Kardashian also urged California governor Gavin Newsom to raise the wages of imprisoned firefighters.

He wrote in a statement, “I spent my city burning last week.” “And have seen and talked to many firefighters who live overnight using every ounce of their strength to save our community.

Kardashian noted that the prisoners are working “24-hours shift”, where they get “almost nothing” while doing life-saving work “.

According to the Department of Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation of California, depending on the skill level, the imprisoned crew members are paid between $ 5.80 and $ 10.24 per day. But they can earn an additional $ 1 an hour while handing over an active emergency regardless of skills – the amount paid by the Forestry Department of California and the Fire Safety Department.

“I am urging @cagovernor what no governor has done in 4 decades, and increase the disorganized fire fighter pay at a rate (that) honors a human being who is putting his life at risk to save our lives and homes,” Kardashian concluded.
