Water can turn into a supersidic fluid under excessive heat and pressure. These conditions are found only in the interior of the Earth, within icy planets such as Uranus and Neptune – and possibly in controlled laboratory experiments.
“Under immense pressure and temperature, water displays a remarkable property – it becomes an extraordinaryly powerful acid, also known as ‘supersids’, which can be stronger than sulfuric acid in billions or even trillions,” Flavio Siro Brigiano At the University of Sorbone in France.
