Sudan’s army withdrew the Republican Palace in Khartum on Friday, which was the last heavy stronghold of rival paramilitary forces in the capital after a two -year fight.

The seizure of the Republican Palace surrounded by government ministries was a major symbolic victory for Sudan’s army against the paramilitary rapid support force – although it does not mean that the war does not end as the RSF holds the western Darfur region of Sudan and other places.

Sudan’s army allegedly condemned the video showing the video that took the ends of the enemies to their soldiers

The social media video showed Sudani soldiers inside the palace, which gives the date as the 21st day of Ramadan, the Holy Muslim fasting month, which matches Friday. A Sudani military officer announced in a video of captain’s Applelets and confirmed that the soldiers were inside the campus.

The palace appeared in the ruins, stepping on the broken tiles of the soldiers. The troops carrying the attack rifle and rocket-prolled grenade launcher chanting: “God is the Greatst!”

Sudan’s Information Minister Khalid al-Assar said that the army had withdrawn the palace on a post on social platform X.

“Today the flag is raised, the palace is back and the journey continues until the victory is complete,” he wrote.

Later, the curious residents deviated from the palace. Walls were standing from the rifle round. Blood smear gave birth to bodies, randomly covered with blankets.

A symbolic and strategic moment of the palace

The collapse of the Republican Palace on the banks of river Nil River, a complex before the war and is immortal on Sudani Banknotes and Postal Madaks-is a symbol of another battlefield for the military of the Cere’s army, which has made constant progress under the army chief General Abdel-Patah Burhan in recent months.

This also means that rival RSF fighters under General Mohammad Hamdan Daglo have been expelled mostly from the capital Khartum. The sporadic gunfire could be heard in the entire capital on Friday, although it was not clear whether the fight was involved or celebrated.

Brigadier. General Nail Abdullah, a spokesperson of the Sudani Army, said that its military palaces are catching the surrounding ministry buildings and the Arab market south of the premises.

The Khartum International Airport, the southeast of the palace, has been organized by the RSF since the onset of the war in April 2023, in the southeast of the palace, only 2.5 kilometers (1.5 mi).

Suleman Sandal, a politician associated with RSF, admitted that the army took the palace and called it part of the “The Up and Down” of history.

The RSF later issued a statement claiming that his army “still exists in the area around the area, fighting bravely.” A drone attack on the palace is believed to be launched by the RSF, allegedly killing soldiers and journalists with Sudani state television.

Late on Thursday night, RSF claimed that it seized the control of Sudani city Al-Maaliha, a strategic desert city in North Darfur near borders with Chad and Libya. Sudan’s army has admitted to fighting around Al-Maliha, but has not said that it has lost the city.

Al-Maliha L. is at a distance of about 200 kilometers (125 mi) to the north of Fashar city, surrounded by the RSF and is organized by the Sudani Army despite close-related attacks.

The head of the United Nations children agency has said that Sudan’s struggle has created the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. On Friday, UNICEF reduced the looting of food aid to go to Al Bashir Hospital on the outskirts of Khatum separately.

UNICEF warned, “Commercial supply and humanitarian aid have been blocked for more than three months due to the ongoing conflict with major routes.” “The result is a serious drawback of food, medicine and other essential things, in which thousands of citizens are trapped in active battles.”

The war has killed over 28,000 people, forced millions to flee their homes and left some families to eat grass in a desperate attempt to survive as parts of the country’s famine sweep. Other estimates suggest a high death toll.

Republican Palace became the seat of power during Sudan’s British colonization. It also saw flags before the independent Sudan raised in 1956. The campus was also the main office of the chairman and other top officials of Sudan.

The Sudani Army has long targeted the palace and its grounds, she has fired and firing in the premises.

Sudan has faced chaos and years of war

A nation in Northeast Africa, Sudan, has been unstable since a popular rebellion, which was forced to remove the long-term autocratic President Omar al-Bashir in 2019. A short -term infection for democracy occurred when Burhan and Dagalo led a military coup in 2021.

RSF and Sudan’s army started fighting each other in 2023.

Since the beginning of the year, Burhan’s army, including Sudan’s military and associated militia, has moved forward against the RSF. He returned a major refinery to the north of Khartum, pushed to RSF posts around Khartum. The fight has increased the number of civic casualties.

Al-Bashir faced allegations of launching a massacre campaign with Janjawed Militia, RSF forearm in West Darfur region in the international criminal court. The Rights Group and the United Nations accused the RSF and the affiliated Arab militia of attacking caste African groups again in this latest war.
