Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, made a special royal journey to Derven College at Goben, Shropshire, which supports young adults with special educational needs and disability (Send).
During his visit, Edward met Brandon Langan-Hart, the Gold Award holder, who proudly showed him to the college’s canoe simulator, as the Shopshirstear reported.
Sharing about his meeting with Royal, Brendon said, “It was a complete privilege to meet him. I really proud myself.”
Additionally, Learning Support Assistant Andrew Hamilton also considering Edward’s visit, saying, “This is a good recognition of all the hard work that puts the employees and gives all the support to the students. It is an honor for him to come and go.”
Another person from Duke of Edinburgh said, “I am very excited for the day to meet Prince Edward and I am very proud that I got it.”
In particular, this SI was the first royal journey in 30 years after the 1994 visit to Kent.
In addition, the college principal and CEO, Meril Green also expressed pride in attaining Prince Edward, saying that it was “a great honor for the entire college.”
He said, “We feel very privileged that we are able to highlight the work we do to prepare young people for adult life,” he said. “We were particularly proud to showcase our fully accessible Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Outdoor Center, developed in 10 years, running a college award, and ensures that disabled youths do not miss out -of -the – – – – – –sties.”
He said, “This journey was a great opportunity for all, which sheds a light on the importance of the work sent by the college, which supports to send young people every day,” he said.
It is worth noting that this journey of Prince Edward comes after creating an important appearance in RAF Waddington in Lincoln.
