From ‘jealousy, inequality and fertility’ to ‘market size, trade and productivity’, using attractive three-part phrases in the title of research papers, can promote their quotes, suggest a study.
The study used algorithm to check over 235,000 economics papers and 93,000 medical and life-science papers, with three-part phrases in their titles. The study of medical and life-science using the format attracted 32 additional quotes, on average, compared to papers that do not have such phrases, and with this format, the economics papers were additional 3.5 quotes.
