A fisherman from Peru, who was found alive after spending 95 days in the Pacific Ocean, said that he ate Rosh, birds and sea turtles to survive.
Maximo NAPA was heavyly dehydrated and in a serious condition when he was discovered by an Ecuadorian fishing patrol at a distance of about 680 miles from the coast of Peru last Wednesday, according to the Reuters. He originally left a city Markona on the southern coast of Peru for a fishing journey on 7 December.
“I did not want to die,” NAPA told Reuters. “I ate Rosh, bird, the last thing I ate was a turtle.”
“I thought of my mother every day,” he said. “I am grateful to God for giving me a second chance.”

NAPA initially packed enough food to spend two weeks in the sea, but in 10 days, he was excluded from the course by a stormy season and finished the adrift in the Pacific, the Reuters.
The news agency said that NAPA drank rain water collected on his boat, but he eventually ran out of food sources and spent the last 15 days without eating anything.

NAPA kept his hopes allegedly thinking about his family and baby granddaughter.
“I told the Lord, whether he is alive or dead, just bring him back to me, even if it is just to see him,” her mother Elena Castro told TV Peru, according to Reuters.
“But my daughters never lost faith. They kept telling me: Mother, she will come back, she will come back,” she said.
