Islamabad: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday declared two senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader-Mamad Azhar and Murad Saeed-judicial-judicial attacks on the continuous absence from the court.
Meanwhile, ATC Judge Abul Hasanat Zulkarnain has also issued arrest warrants for Vasic Qayyum Abbasi, Raja Bashrat, former state minister Farukh Habib and other political leaders who were absent from hearing.
This case is related to an incident when the former Prime Minister searched for bail in several cases in the judicial campus in Islamabad.
A large crowd of PTI supporters gathered at the place, destroyed security obstacles, barbaric the entrance of the premises, and obstructed the court proceedings.
In response, the Islamabad police registered a case of terrorism against several suspects, cited Section 7 of the Anti -Terrorism Act (ATA) and Section 353 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Police said that the attack was already planned, some political figures were allegedly inciting the crowd.
Many individuals were taken into custody, and the law enforcement seized an attack rifle with other weapons from prisoners. Raids were conducted in various provinces to arrest more suspects.
Officials said government property was damaged during the attack, but appreciated the police for effectively preventing the situation in the Islamabad High Court.
Furthermore, PTI’s leadership is entangled in many other cases, resulting in the founder of the party, Khan – who has been behind bars for more than a year – along with other senior leaders.
