Reports Informed
Talking to the media at the Parliament house, Bilawal said that President Asif Ali Zardari had highlighted the unilateral policies of the government without consensus, especially the decision to build new canals from the Indus.
“President Zardari highlighted the issue before the National Assembly and the present government. The government is under stress due to this issue, and should be reviewed and resolved, ”he said.
Bilawal said that there is no reason to not accept the government’s suggestions. “The government would not want its projects to be controversial or harm federal units in any way,” he said.
PPP, he said, has been the first party to raise its voice against the issues encroaching the rights of the provinces. “Even in his last speech for the assembly, the late Nawaz Yusuf Talpur raised the issue of water, and so other members of the PPP said,” He said, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, his ministers and the provincial bureaucracy also raised the issue on every platform. ”
For a question, Chairman Bilawal said that the council of general interests is the right platform to address the issue of water distribution and the PPP has demanded a continuous call for the CCI meeting. He said that some politicians related to some groups are exploiting this national issue to advance their politics, and are attacking the only party that always strives for equality.
‘Relief for our farmers’
In addition, he said that as far as getting investment for Green Pakistan Project and Agriculture, PPP is not only its owner, but it is the real philosophy of the party. “We not only want relief for our farmers, but also wish them to flourish,” he said.
To maximize the results for the first phase, Bilawal said that the area of Punjab and Sindh that contribute to the agricultural economy needs to be given priority. “Small landlords should be given the power of collective bargaining while working together,” he said.
The Chairman said that provincial governments should appoint public-private partnership models to start smart irrigation funded by the federal government, which is a revolutionary move to mass farming. He said that PPP is working on pilot projects in Sindh, including bio -saline agricultural experiments in Thar.
Bilawal said that he hoped that the Prime Minister agreed with the PPP as part of his political understanding. “The Prime Minister directed his team to address our grievances,” he said.
He said that PPP is the third largest force in the National Assembly. The PPP president said, “Our trust level has not yet reached the platform where the PPP government’s coalition can become a partner.”
‘Semi-oriented Prime Minister’ formula
He said that PPP has always rejected the “half-term Prime Minister” formula. “Our relations with the government and political attitude are in front of everyone,” he said. The PPP is currently working with the political party which is associated with it for the sake of the country.
Regarding Iftar dinner with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Bilawal said that he is grateful to the PPP delegation for hosting him. He said that inflation was the most important issue, on which the parties contested the elections, and now when economic indicators are improving, PPP joins the rest of the country in congratulating PM Sharif.
He further said that PPP also raised its concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan and KP. He said, “From Parachinar to Bannu and Peshawar, all tribal areas, terrorism continues to spread,” he said.
Looking at the KP government, he said that he has never seen a level of ‘apathy’ by a provincial government when it comes to issues related to his own voters. ,
Bilawal said that he has requested the Prime Minister to suppress the provincial government to solve it. He said, “It is also the responsibility of the Federation to take care of these issues, as they cannot leave KP for the current provincial regime,” he said. He further said that it is a collective responsibility to address the law and order situation.
In Balochistan, Chairman PPP said that not only law and order is a pressure issue, but climate change is also sinking its claws in the province and there is a need to speed up restoration for the devastation caused by floods.
Describing the President’s address to Parliament as a ‘historic’, he said that this is the first time in the history of Pakistan that a civilian President addressed Parliament for the eighth time. He said that along with focusing on the issues of the states and people of President Zardari, there was a reflection of the expectations of the people, advocating the consensus-based reforms.
“From the economy to agriculture and technology, the President’s address touched all the important issues faced by the country. The President is the only representative of the provincial assemblies along with all elected members of Parliament, as a symbol of the union. ,
The PPP president said that it is the responsibility of the media to only spread the truth. “The propagation of the opposition should not be repeated,” he said. Regarding the upcoming budget, Chairman PPP said that he hoped that PPP and PMLN, according to their agreement, will collectively draf it with PSDP for four provinces.
