Louisiana Houston Associate head coach Quanus White is hiring as his next men’s basketball coach, sources told ESPN.
Sources said White is expected to live with Houston through Postsen’s end. Kaagar won the Big 12 regular-season title and the NCAA tournament has 1-Cids.
White has worked under Calvin Sampson in Houston since 2017, after spending two seasons in Western Kentki and two seasons in Tulane. He was also a long -time coach at the Louisiana dynasty AAU program.
During its time with Cougars, the program has moved into six NCAA tournaments, earned 1-Cid in each in the last two years and is going to the final four in 2021. Since going to Big 12 in 2023, the Houston Conference is 34–4 in the play.
White with Sampson is related to his time as a player under Sampson in Oklahoma in the early 2000s. He helped lead the sons for 58–12 records in 2002 and 2003, going to the last four in 2002 and Elights in 2003.
He has long replaced Louisiana’s head coach Bob Marlin, which was fired with Ragin Kazun through his 15th season in mid -December.
