The world’s largest liquor manufacturer AB Inbave saw a 2 percent decline in beer sales last year, yet the company still achieved record revenue, the lauven-based firm announced on Wednesday.

In 2024, AB Inbave sold 575.7 million hectares of beer and other beverages, which was a decrease of 1.4 percent compared to the previous year. Sales of their own beer brands fell 2 percent to 495.5 million hectares.

The company blamed the drop for “weak consumer environment in China and Argentina”. Except for those markets, AB Inbev recorded an increase of 0.9 percent in volume sales.

    Revenue growth

Revenue per hectare, however, increased by 4.3 percent operated by “disciplined pricing strategies and premiumrs”. For example, as the prices of beer increased, AB Inbave’s total revenue reached $ 59.8 billion (57 billion euros) from 2023, from 2023 to 2.7 percent.

The company’s generalized EBITDA (earlier earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and refinement) increased to $ 20.9 billion to $ 20.9 billion, while the net profit increased by 7.6 percent to $ 7.4 billion.

The board of directors has proposed a dividend of 1 euro per share.

    Growth plan

AB Inbave says that it is planning to invest in long -term development and hopes its EBITDA “with our medium -term approach to an increase of 4 percent to 8 percent.”

Broving giants are known for brands such as Corona, Budwiser, Stella Artois, Jupiter and Lfe. It employs around 144,000 people worldwide and is listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange as part of the BL20 index.
