A woman from Las Vegas accused men of wooing men through dating sites, drugs and taking money in Mexico on Friday as US authorities announced a federal prosecution against her.

Evans said it took cars and accessed social security accounts and retirement plans as part of his perceived offenses from 2019 to the end of 2022.
The total value of his plan, the officials said at the news conference, “Hundreds of thousands of dollars were, and could be more when additional victims are found.” Phelps, among other things, used funds to buy luxury goods, Evans alleged.
“This is a romance scam on steroids,” he said.
Officials said that there are a total of 11 victims, out of which four are the basis of federal prosecution. Two of the four are from Nevada, he said.
The FBI said in a bulletin that officials believe that more suffer and encourage anyone who believe that they may suffer to come forward.
Bulletin stated that Phelps has targeted a wide range of people that also include women and young men. The FBI said that she has also gone under the name Arora Floors, Aurora Velasko and Arora Alvarez.
Officials said Phelps also lived in Arkansas once and although she was born in the United States, she is a dual citizenship with Mexico.
Federal officials said that Mexican officials are investigating the Phelps in collaboration with the FBI, working to extradite him from Mexico.
